Check out this article from today's New York Times Magazine. It's about an approach to kindergarten and early childhood education that emphasizes what psychologists call "the executive function." It's relevant to our course in two ways. First, you could play "spot the Foucaultism" with it as things he wrote about are all over the thing (I stopped counting at some point). Second, it connects with the material we are about to talk about this week: the "model of the person" that underlies our thinking about behavior and how to control/regulate it. Check it out.
